The new Bayern Munich 2017-18 away kit is a tasteful refresh on an old classic. Time to turn back 20 years and revisit the kit that was worthy of a revival.

It was one of the few Bayern home kits where a dark blue took center stage and red was used as an accent color. Clearly, a little bit of change is a good thing as the Bavarian giants ended up collecting a fair share of accolades in this home strip. The side were German Cup winners (97-98), Bundesliga champions (98-99), and Champions League runners-up (98-99). There were so many great pieces from that era of football and this kit exemplifies the Adidas design aesthetic from the late 90s.
