PITCHSIDE: USMNT X FIFA WORLD CUP QATAR 2022

After missing out in 2018, the USMNT was back at the worlds biggest stage for The FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar.

This time around the USMNT brought a combination of youthful exuberance, tenacity and poise unlike any other team prior. After two hard fought draws against Wales and England, in which the young Yanks would dominate large portions of each game. The States would advance to the round of 16 by beating Iran thanks to a goal by Captain America himself, Christian Pulisic. Unfortunately a super-talented and well-coached Dutch side would prove too big a hurdle as the U.S. would fight tooth and nail, but bow out by a score of 3-1.

We’re not an X’s and O’s type of outlet. But showing out with the 2nd youngest team at the World Cup and players playing at the highest levels across Europe. This team is a special mix of fearlessness and talent with the brightest of futures. Yes, the kids are alright.
